New Paris Cooking Classes with Ethnic Twist Offer Taste of the Exotic for Travelers Seeking Insider's Experience

Paris, France (PRWEB) June 8, 2009

Richard Nahem, owner of Eye Prefer Paris Tours, http://www.eyepreferparistours.com, the popular source of personalized private tours in the City of Lights, has teamed with professional chef and caterer Charlotte Puckette, author of the bestseller "The Ethnic Paris Cookbook", to introduce an ethnic culinary journey through Paris with the new Eye Prefer Paris Cooking Classes.

Nahem and Puckette will teach students how to make French food with an ethnic twist including flavors and accents from Vietnam, Morocco, Lebanon, Senegal, Tunisia, West Indies, and Cambodia. Each class will include at least one recipe from The Ethnic Paris Cookbook.

"Paris holds virtually limitless possibilities for food lovers, but many visitors overlook the diversity of cuisine and the many ethnic influences," Nahem said. "Not only that, our courses go beyond cooking. They are about experiencing the city as a Parisian would, shopping for ingredients and spending the afternoon in a French home over a meal."

The five-hour, multi-faceted experience begins with a tour of one of Paris's acclaimed fresh food markets, where clients will shop for seasonal and sometimes exotic ingredients. The class continues at Puckette's private townhouse, which houses a full professional kitchen and is conveniently located in the upscale 7th arr., minutes from the Eiffel Tower. The group will discuss the menu over coffee and light savory snacks, then Puckette will lead the students through preparation of a three-course feast. The class culminates with participants enjoyed the delicious lunch that was just prepared along with French wine from a local shop specially selected for the cuisine.

The Eye Prefer Paris Cooking Class experience costs 185 euros (approximately $ 240) per person, which includes the tour and class, food and wine. Courses are offered Tuesday through Sunday from 9:30 AM until approximately 2 PM. Course sizes are limited to between three and six guests, guaranteeing ample opportunity to ask questions and savor the experience of spending the day with two Parisian insiders.
