5th Ave Nautical Holiday Windows in NYC - A Wonderful Holiday Tradition

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 6, 2010

Each year in late November, thousands of New Yorkers and tourists crowd around 5th and 58th to catch a glimpse of these extravagant holiday window displays. Throughout the years, these holiday displays have become more and more popular and intricate. This year, Prince Poppycock unveiled the 2010 holiday windows reveal during the Bergdorf Goodman ceremony. In addition, the new limited-edition Assouline book, Windows at Bergdorf Goodman, was released, to the delight of many designers, models, stylists, fans and even some fashionistas. Over 600 people gathered to celebrate the release of this highly-anticipated coffee table book.

Bergdorf Goodman has five different holiday window displays this year, including: ?The Scenic Route,? ?Full Speed Ahead,? ?Day Tripping,? and ?A Guided Tour.? Each window displays a different location and a different form of travel. All mediums of travel including cruising on a ship at sea or flying through the clouds on Pegasus are displayed. Of course the mannequins dressed in Oscar de la Renta and Naeem Khan are not to be forgotten. The glittering gowns and handmade outfits exemplify why Bergdorf Goodman is known as a centerpiece of fashion.

This year RedSkyTrader is proud to have some of their nautical pieces in Bergdorf Goodman?s ?Full Speed Ahead? display. According to Peter Kinally, owner of RedSkyTrader, and originally from New York, ?it is an honor to have our nautical items in a Bergdorf Goodman window. Our maritime telescope, nautical brass porthole window, classic aluminum bell and Mark V US Navy diver helmet, never looked so good.? The antique twist of the display really captures the look of an ancient sea voyage with a little fashion sprinkled in.

The Bergdorf Goodman 2010 holiday windows display can be seen through January 3, 2011. This yearly event is definitely worth checking out at 5th and 58th in New York. Comment on RedSkyTrader's display pieces used by Bergdorf Goodman in the ?Full Speed Ahead? window!
